"I was only given fourteen Firebolts," he explained with remarkable patience given the circumstances (namely being in Snape's presence and a little bit cold thanks to falling on freezing stones). "And Ron was only given enough parts to make those brooms and the balls fly. It's not like we have tons of spare parts lying about that anyone could just throw together and make fly."

Now, whether or not Tony Stark could fabricate those parts with the scraps that he had, Harry didn't know. He didn't know either if someone could just throw the pieces together to make them work and Ron and Harry were simply too stupid to figure it all out. But Snape hadn't asked about that.
